The final chapter in the Dharma Trilogy by Yonkers own Large Amount has been streaming in The Rap Scene office since its February 19th release. The D Block emcee seemed to know just what we needed and did not disappoint on his latest offering of nonstop bars with complex set-ups and transitions.
2020’s Dharma and Dharma 2 were the ideal alley-oop to this perfect two hand jam of a project that seems to highlight Large’s clear, natural evolution as an artist. The trilogy is obviously a body of work but Dharma 3 stands alone as the satisfying end to a series that will stand the test of time with production by Black Exec, Mike the Martyr, Batman and O.C. perfectly complimenting the bars we have come to expect from Large.
Dharma 3 is already one of the best projects of 2021. These 8 tracks, not a skip in sight, should be heard by anyone considering themselves a fan of real Hip Hop. The album is truly a breath of fresh air after stepping outside of the overcrowded department store of rap and taking off your mask.
