Wiz Khalifa stopped by his alma mater, Taylor Allerdice High School, to gift students with all the school supplies they needed. Besides encouraging the kids to stay persistent and work hard during their academic career, Wiz also gave out 1,700 backpacks worth $45,000 to the students.
“It feels awesome to be back at Allderdice,” Khalifa told Pittsburgh News 4. “I love my school. I love Pittsburgh. I love being able to spread some positivity and give kids some hope.”
Principal Melissa Freiz told News 4 that the Taylor Gang rep returning to his hometown high was “huge.”
“It means he hasn’t forgotten where he’s come from, and so for us being able to share this moment with our students, it’s a really big deal.”.
