Favorite Top 5 Rappers And Producers Collabs of 2015

Emcee/Producer Collabs

Almost approaching the 4th month of the new year, we’re already seeing works from a variety of talented emcees. Many of these artists are working with great production, placing themselves comfortably in teamwork situations with various producers. Which duo did it best thus far in 2015?
    1.  Action Bronson/The Alchemist – Like a majority of duos on this list, this is not the first time the artists have worked together. Action’s new album includes 3 tracks(Terry, Falconry, & Galactic Love) produced by The Alchemist, and their work makes it fairly obvious that they are comfortable with each other’s style.

2.   Joey Bada$$/DJ Premiere – The 3rd track on Joey’s ‘B4.Da.$$’ titled ‘Paper Trail$’ features a heavy east coast style that is manifested by the Houston producer DJ Premier. Together they carry a boom-bap feel alongside great lyrical content.

3.  Lupe Fiasco/The Buchanans – The track ‘Murals’ shares a sample that was used by other artists such as Curren$y, Mellowhype, and Young Jeezy. The difference being that Lupe spits for 8 minutes straight, no hook on the track!

   4.  Earl Swearshirt/Left Brain – ‘Off Top’ was the only track from Earl’s most recent album in which he did not produce himself. Again, these two artists are far from strangers. Their styles simply complement each other, with immense talent coming from both ends.
   5.  Freddie Gibbs/Pops – Pops was a featuring producer on 2 of the 3 tracks on Gibbs’ new ‘Pronto’ EP. And it’s no surprise that the emcee knew how to put his flavor into the tracks.. What else would you expect from a cat who can work on a project with the incredible production of Madlib(Piñata of 2014) and do every track justice?
