Nike Is Gearing Up For Its Annual “Air Max Day” By Introducing The OG Air Max With The “Patch”

If the “Patch” Air Max 1 wasn’t quite enough to satiate your thirst for customizable runners, you’ll be pleased to learn that Nike has a few more tricks up its sleeve for the second annual Air Max Day.

Joining the O.G. colorway of the Air Max 1 are patch versions of the iconic “Infrared” Air Max 90 and “Neon” Air Max 95. While their instantly recognizable color blocking remains the same, there are a number of notable differences between these “Patch” updates and their O.G. counterparts.

The Air Max 90 “Infrared” loses its mesh and nubuck base in favor of canvas and Hyperfuse, while the Air Max 95 “Neon” swaps its nubuck stripes for canvas. Of course, the real draw here is the patch factor, and each sneaker comes packaged with 22 individual velcro swatches that can be attached throughout each sneaker.

The Nike Air Max OG “Patch” pack is a Tier Zero release set for March 25 and will be available from retailers like Solebox.
