Kodak Black Is Finally A Free Man

Kodak Black is to be released from jail today or tomorrow, according to reports from the Sun-Sentinel.

Judge Lisa Porter agreed to the Florida rapper’s plea of no contest to multiple charges, including robbery and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

Kodak Black, born Dieuson Octave, received a sentence of one year of house arrest followed by five years probation. He was not adjudicated, which means he will not be a convicted felon and will be allowed to tour internationally.

The 19-year-old was arrested in May on multiple charges from various warrants. Many called for his freedom and a clothing company even made #FreeKodak T-shirts to help his legal case.

He was also arrested in April after leading police on a car chase. The officers approached his car after reportedly witnessing him purchase marijuana. After the chase, he was booked on weapons and marijuana charges. He was freed on bail of more than $5,000.

Kodak Black is reportedly working on a solo LP due out this winter.
