Although President Barack Obama did reveal that he does not have Kanye West’s home phone number, during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last week, Kanye recently stated that the president has in fact called his house before.
TMZ caught up with the Chicago, Illinois rapper over the weekend as he was leaving Los Angeles International Airport to ask him about the president’s comments on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
“I love Obama. He called my house before. He knows that. Don’t try to pit us against each other…I love Obama,” Kanye said.
In addition to stating that he doesn’t have Kanye’s phone number, President Obama also praised the musician, during his talk show appearance last week. He revealed that he loves Kanye’s music and feels that “he’s incredibly creative.”
“I’ve met Kanye twice,” President Obama said while appearing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” “The first time when I was a senator. And he was with his mom and he had just gotten big. He’s from Chicago. So, they wanted to meet. And he was very soft-spoken, very gracious…And then about six months ago, he came to an event. Look, I love his music. He’s incredibly creative. I don’t think I’ve got his home number.”
