Jay Z’s “Made In America” concert will not return to LA this summer due to complaints

Complications concerning the choice of  L.A.’s Grand Park, noise complaints, and other gripes, ultimately led to festival organizer’s deciding to nix the L.A. event this year.

“This is not at all a stepping back — this is a reevaluation of the model of going from one location to two to three,” Budweiser VP of marketing Brian Perkins told Billboard. “We’re a very ambitious brand, and we have a very ambitious partner in Jay Z, who also dreams big. And we always want to do big, bold things with music under the moniker of Budweiser Made In America.”

This year, Made in America plans to produce a free concert on Liberty Island in New York, according to Billboard. Mary J. Blige has reportedly been named the headliner for the free show at Liberty Island, while similar remote events may be announced in the coming months.
