Starting in 2017, Ice Cubes Big 3 Basketball league has just ended it’s fifth season of competition. Well Cube and the organization has made history by being certified as the first black-owned sports league in history. The acknowledgment came from ByBlack and the US Black Chambers Inc. Ownership stakes in the league were recently sold to Snoop Dogg and Gary Nee among other big names. The Big3, which is made up of former NBA players competing in a 3 on 3 style of play is the first professional sports league to receive the honor as the West Coast legend continues to break barriers and make history in the culture. The games are some of the best in sports content and should be checked out and supported by anyone into basketball. Congratulations and shout out to Ice Cube and the entire Big3 Basketball League.
