Chilla J. Battle With Math Hoffa May Be His Biggest Threat

Chilla Jones also talks about his upcoming battle with Conceited on May 16.

With his battle against the returning Math Hoffa set for Don’t Flop’s “Resurrection” on April 4, Chilla Jones recently took to YouTube to release a video blog discussing the highly anticipated match-up.

Chilla first opened up about the talk he’s seen online that is mostly calling the battle in favor of Math. But the Boston emcee says that the threat his opponent poses is spurring him on to be hungrier and more prepared. Chilla later says that he hasn’t felt such a threat since his battle against Daylyt at KOTD’s “Vendetta 2: Redemption” last April. Lastly, Chilla warns fans and spectators to simply “watch out” for his approach to the battle come April 4.

“I’m here to talk about me and Math, man,” Chilla Jones says. “I see a lot of the talk on Twitter. I see a lot of people feel like Math can attack me in a way that I’ve never been attacked before. A lot of people feel like Math presence can overpower me or overshadow me, that’s cool. I haven’t felt this kind of a threat in a long time, man. I need that. I needed to feel like I was battling somebody who could kill me. If you look at some of my previous battles that I’ve had last year, man, I didn’t really battle a lot of dudes who the general public felt had a legitimate chance of beating me.

“I feel that threat with this match-up,” Chilla adds. “That’s forcing me to prepare. That’s forcing me to be hungry and that’s a threat I haven’t felt since I battled Daylyt. Anybody thinking that I’m not gonna be prepared for Math or I shouldn’t have taken Math before Conceited, or Math’s been sitting for ten months and I’ve got a month to prepare and I might be at a disadvantage, just watch. Just watch what I do. Just watch my approach … I’m still improving. I’m still getting better. I can guarantee you the Chilla that shows up to see Math Hoffa in Atlanta will be on 100.”

Don’t Flop’s “Resurrection” goes does Saturday, April 4 at Apache Cafe, 64 3rd St. NW Atlanta, Ga., 30308. It’s a 16+ event, but you must be 21 or over to drink. It runs from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and admission is $20.
