Just another east-coast cat making a name, Joey Bada$$ ignited his career with a mixtape titled 1999 and has stood out most amongst the Pro Era collective.
Although many may criticize the young artist for adopting a niche that originated in the earlier stages of the hip-hop, Joey brought a sense of originality with him, while still doing a great job at personifying the Brooklyn vibe.
“B4.Da.$$, his recently released debut studio album, carries on his old school boom-bap style with some production from DJ Premier and J Dilla. However, as the dust is settling some fans argue that he’s strayed from his initial values, as well as the supposed topic of the album. Is Joey Bada$$ just another east coast cat trying to make a name?
