5 Reasons Why Kimye Should Be Together Forever

Many times throughout Ye’s illustrious career, he has been up good and down bad at the same time. The latest spin sees the Hip Hop Steve Jobs up a few billi but down in the form of a public divorce from none other than the O.G. princess Kardashian. As we say in rap music, this is wack. Kanye is one of the most dynamic artists of our time and his wife is still Kim Kardashian. Here are 5 reasons they should stay together.

1 – They Are THE Power Couple

No matter what you think about celebrity relationships, they are better than yours in every way. They have the money to do what they want and everyone cares about them for one reason or another. Compare that to your relationship. Even if you have the money to truly do you, nobody cares. Power couples get their status by having and exerting power and Kimye are definitely “livin’ in that 21st century doin’ something mean to it”. These two together have become woven into the very fabric of Hip Hop culture and to see the couple break up almost feels like some of raps power as a whole is being diminished.

2 – Kim and Pete Davidson(?)

Okay don’t get me wrong, Pete Davidson is somewhat funny. His character work on SNL and beyond is noteworthy at the very least. All in all he seems like a cool dude. Not cool enough by far to be in the graces of America’s first family of reality TV. I mean this is Kim Kardashian getting with Goofy Pete. I guess humor really is the way to a womans heart. But really shout out to Pete for snatching up the rebound like a young, kind of funny Dennis Rodman. Salute. Can’t imagine the other goofys that stood a chance as the divorce proceedings proceed.

3 – God Wants Them to Be Together

Have you noticed something about Ye in these past few years? It may be hard to put your finger on so I’ll just fill you in. He has given himself over to God. You read that right, the man who made “Jesus Walks” now primarily makes music with Jesus in mind. You may not have picked up on it as he has been so Steve Jobs, Andy Warhol and Walt Disney with it these days. But if you think that God has not seen what Ye is doing and has not been his lord and savior you are terribly mistaken. He wants Kimye together for the betterment of us all. Ye himself has spoken on the narrative that God wants us to see. It was written.

4 – Kim Kept Ye (Somewhat) Sane

Much has been made of Ye’s ongoing battle with mental health issues. It was said that Kim and family encouraged him to seek more help and begin taking meds. Whether it helped or not is debatable but what is not is some of the wild shit he has spewed in recent memory. Always one to speak his mind, it can only be imagined the bat-shit craziness he surely would have brought without the stability of his family holding him down. Who knows, maybe slavery would not have been a choice but we see Ye choosing to be a slave. We all should thank Kim for being an influence on his life because…

5 – Ye Is Gonna Do Some Crazy Shit

Y’all know we are talking about Kanye West right? And you also know who we are talking about him losing, correct? This man is now a multi-billionaire and nobody can tell him anything, as if they ever could. Say he loses the ability to see his kids. This will do irreparable damage to his life, image and career. It could set in motion a chain of events that could see arguably the most dynamic artist of our lifetime tarnish and sour his persona more than ever before. None of us should want to see this. It would be terrible for Hip Hop and Pop culture in general.

Nothing lasts forever but love and marriage are a couple of those things that make the world a better place when they do. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian seem somehow made for each other. A match made in Hip Hop that we should all root for. They have four children together and hold sway over the collective culture in one way or another. There are many more great things that could come out of this union. Let’s all bow our heads in the name of Yee, I mean Jesus, and pray for these two make it last forever. In the name of Keith Sweat, Amen.
