West Coast veteran Ras Kass was one of the first rappers to work with the hip hop producer in his earlier days. Alchemist was a product of Dj Muggs from Cypress Hill who gave Al his start in the rap game. Recently on a podcast Ras Kass was asked about working with the legendary producer and how cheap Alchemist beats were in the 90’s. Ras mentioned he used to buy Al beats for $750 a piece for his albums and it was a way to show love to him because he was an upcoming producer from LA.
