Tru Life Has Finally Been Released After A 8 Year Bid

Rapper Tru Life, born Roberto Guzmán Rosado, Jr., had a promising career ahead of him that was cut short when he caught an eight year bid back in 2011. But, it seems that the former Roc-a-fella (via Roc La Familia) artist got paroled out a little early.

After both were indicted on murder charges, Tru Life and his brother Marcus Rosado plead guilty to manslaughter and gang assault, respectively, with the latter being sentenced to 10 years.

The victim, Christopher Guerrero, died after allegedly being assaulted by the Rosados in a building lobby and getting stabbed in the abdomen in 2009 in New York City. The sentences were via a plea bargain, with Marcus admitting to stabbing Guerrero. At the time of his sentence, Tru Life has already served about two years in jail.

Tru Life made a name of his himself via mixtapes and gained infamy via feuds with Mobb Deep and Jim Jones. In 2005, Jay Z, who was then the president of Def Jam, signed him to the label himself in a deal that was reportedly worth six figures. Peep the latest video of him riding home below:
