Long time fans of LeBron will remember his first signature sneaker, the Nike Air Zoom Generation, and the “Wheat” pair that he rocked during the 2004 NBA Rookie Challenge.
Fast forward 11 years and Nike is set to pay tribute to that moment with a “Wheat” version of LeBron’s latest signature model, the Nike LeBron 12. Slated to be an EXT model, these new Wheats feature a “Metallic Gold” Swoosh and the date of the game, 02.13.04, embroidered on the heel tab. Fans of LeBron’s Nike line have long wished for the Wheat AZGs to retro including our own Russ Bengtson. But until that day comes, these will have to suffice and from all appearances, should be a hit with sneakerheads. No release date has been announced yet, but expect these to drop sooner than later.
