After Kanye West and Jay Z, and Drake and Weezy. We may finally get the collaboration we have been waiting for Kendrick Lamar and J Cole. Any new generation hip hop aficionado could tell you that the most anticipated collaboration album is that of Kendrick Lamar & J Cole, because of their amazing lyricism, beautiful flow and their ability to bring artistic aspects to social issues.
In a recent interview with the Breakfast Club on power 105.1, Kendrick was asked a few questions about an album collaboration with J Cole. Lamar responded that it was “always a timing issue”. He continued, saying that they do have many songs together, but because the songs are old and they both grew and changed as artists, they wanted to make some new ones. Also, it’s a matter of putting in the old songs with the new ones. On Hot 97, Kendrick explained that he spoke to Cole about a month ago, while he was on tour. Both have expressed that they are very excited about the project, and both seemed to come to a consensus that it would be for the fans.
This collaboration could possibly be one of the highest selling projects in history, as well as one of the best! Hopefully we get this show on the road; the world is impatient!
