3 Rappers who need to make a comeback

Kid Cudi: As one of the single most experimental artists in the industry, Kid Cudi has surely had his time. However, his career has taken a drastic decline since his ‘Man on the Moon Pt. II’. Some can argue that this is due to becoming a family man, or possibly dropping the habit of his catalyst for creativity, cannibus. Or even a combination of the two. Perhaps he can push his fans back in his favor with his long-anticipated ‘Man on the Moon Pt. III’ in which his newest single ‘Love’ (March 3, 2015) is predicted to be apart of.

Dom Kennedy: His most influential project being a mixtape titled ‘From the Westside with Love’, the fourth of seven self-released projects was released in 2010 which entailed a genuine and down to earth image for the Lemeirt Park rapper; a portrayal of another dude from the block that had something for everyone. But as his career grows, his references to material possessions do as well, while his humble nature diminishes. Did Dominic let money get to his head? Or is he still giving back to the kids? His latest album titled ‘Get Home Safely’ was dropped back in 2013, and he has yet to release a track in 2015. We can only hope that the potentially game-altering artist can soon give us something that could help bring hip-hop back to a better state.
Jim Jones: The Harlem emcee originally emerged into the game as a member of Dipset along with Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, and Freekey Zeekey in an era where the the game was still shaping itself. Jim Jones began his solo career, and he slowly began slipping in 2004. The Dipset collective had a systematic flow that allowed the emcees to compliment each other in which Jones’ career did not survive without. However, fans can seek the light at the end of the tunnel for him here in 2015, where Diplomatic Immunity 3 is projected to release.
